The COBB Tuning GESi Catted 3" Downpipe begins with a CAD designed cast bellmouth that smoothly blends air exiting the turbocharger's turbine housing. Minimizing turbulence when exhaust gasses from the wastegate join into those flowing through the turbine helps to prevent excessive back-pressure. The cast housing is capped off with a COBB logo and auxiliary O2 bung for those wanting to install a wideband sensor early in the exhaust path.
A welded bracket utilizes the factory hard mount near the transmission reducing stress on the turbocharger mounting bolts and studs.
Corrosion resistant and mandrel bent 3" 304 Stainless Steel tubing carries exhaust gasses down stream into a COBB-exclusive GESi 300 cell high flow catalytic converter. A second O2 bung is located directly after the catalytic converter and is to be used by the OEM Rear O2 sensor.
A CAD designed, cast 304 stainless steel, flange finishes off the tail section of the downpipe. The reinforced cast flange is less susceptible to warp during assembly and for those of you installing with the strength of Hulk. A stainless adapter flange and included MLS gasket allows direct fit with the factory exhaust or COBB Cat-Back Exhaust utilizing the OEM donut gasket. Included COBB proprietary shoulder nuts allow installation of the factory spring bolts without fuss.

The COBB catback exhaust for the WRX & STI does not deviate from the factory emissions equipment and conforms to the SAE dictated 95-decibel exhaust noise level limit enforced by California, as well as other states in the US. This system is modeled after the stock factory exhaust fitment locations, therefore making it an easy direct bolt on item inclusive of all needed gaskets and hardware.

The COBB 3-Port Boost Solenoid (BCS) is an excellent upgrade for modern turbocharged vehicles, enabling precise boost control in a tidy package that is easy to install and tune. Our BCS will eliminate boost fluctuations inherent in the OEM boost control system, providing stable and repeatable boost control to base the vehicle's tune on. It is equally capable of providing this stable boost control at stock boost levels as well as extremely high boost levels associated with big-power builds.
The COBB Tuning 3-Port BCS features 1/8" low-profile barb fittings to keep the unit compact and are nickel coated for corrosion resistance. Optional 1/4" nickel plated fittings are also available separately. Viton spools and seals are used throughout for long life and lubricated with Dow Corning silicone grease. The manual override is sealed with an O-ring, the wiring harness is sealed to the casing using a waterproof grommet and the solenoid wires are ultrasonically welded to the coil, making the device waterproof and safe to wash. The BCS is rated to operate up to 120psi.
COBB Tuning has made the COBB 3-Port BCS installation as simple as possible. It mounts in the stock location and plugs directly into the stock wiring harness, making the physical install and electrical connection as simple as possible. The BCS comes with a custom aluminum mounting bracket, stainless steel hardware, boost-line to complete all connections and zip-ties to route the boost-line neatly through the engine bay. Installation Instructions are provided, are easy to understand, and provide routing instructions for both internal and external wastegate configurations.
